How long does it take to get my results?
You will usually get your results within 21 working days of when your documents are sent off to the Awarding Body. We will keep you updated with information on when your results are released.
What are the next steps after I get my qualification?
Once you receive your qualification, you will need to apply for your licence via the SIA. CGS Training Centre can assist you with writing your application at the cost of £25.00.

If you’re interested in any of our job opportunities, CGS Training Centre will pass you over to Crownguard Security or London Care Support Service. We will interview you and decide on the best fit for you, and you will be able to start employment straight away.
Will other courses be added?
CGS Training Centre is going to be expanding significantly through 2022. We’re looking to add new courses throughout the year.
Do I need to bring anything with me to the classroom?
You can bring a pen and notebook, but if you don’t have them, we are happy to provide them. All learning materials will be provided, as will snacks and refreshments for each session.

Before your course, you will be sent pre-assessments and self study work that you need to complete and bring with you on the first day of your course. The pre-assessments and self study work will be provided after you complete your enrolment form.

We teach through a variety of methods, including written material, videos, PowerPoints, practical training equipment, and more.
Is there any support I can ask for if I have learning difficulties or need help?
There’s always support and help available for any assistance you may need, whether it be learning difficulties or otherwise. Please let us know about what kind of assistance you need, including a sign language interpreter, a scribe, or anything else.
Is there any funding available to help me with my course?
CGS Training are working closely with a charity that assists you in your course by aiding you financially. The requirements for your applying for funding can be discussed before your course starts. A representative of CGS Training Centre will call you following your enrolment completion to speak to you about your funding options and whether you qualify.
What if I already have a First Aid Certificate?
For Door Supervisor, Door Supervisor Top Up, Security Guard, and Security Guard Top Up courses, you need to have an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate or higher.

You will need to prove that you have an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate or a general First Aid certificate with at least a year left until it’s expiration date. If you do not have one, you will need to take our Emergency First Aid at Work course, which will take place on the first day of your course. Once you pass, you will be able to start your course.
